• We have no financial incentive for placing your business with one carrier over another carrier -- our biases toward favored carriers are driven by service, performance & price.
• We make it a regular practice, within the limits of the law, to give back -- through charitable means -- to those communities that we serve.
• We have a human resource expert and a human resource attorney on staff to help our clients with those problems that go beyond the issues of everyday business. For most questions / situations, these specialists can be accessed through us -- at no cost to you.
• We publish a bi-monthly newsletter -- exclusively for our clients and their advisors on timely employee benefits topics.
• We conduct seminars from time to time for our clients and their advisors on timely employee benefits topics.

Bob Feen

Robert S. Feen, CLU CIC has been in the insurance business since 1978. Bob founded The Benefits Group in 1992, and since that time, the company has grown by over 800% in size and in revenues. He is the only two-term chairman of CT Benefit Brokers. Bob and his wife reside in Hamden, CT.

Susan Hanover has been working in the insurance business with Bob since 1981, beginning as an administrative assistant. In July 1992, Bob and Sue opened the door to The Benefits Group. As office manager, she has enjoyed watching the firm grow from 2 to the present 7 employees which includes 4 additional insurance agents. Sue and her husband reside in Cheshire, CT.

Julie Chubet has been in the industry since 1987, beginning her career in employee benefits at our predecessor firm. Her special areas of expertise are in group benefits and pensions. Professionally, Julie has previously served on Anthem's Broker Advisory Council and their Compensation Committee and currently is an active member of the CT Benefit Brokers. Julie resides with her family in Southington, CT.

Kerry Pelletier has been with The Benefits Group since 1993. She is a seasoned professional who is skilled in problem solving and helping business owners and their employees navigate through the confusing world of group benefits. Starting out as an Administrative Assistant, Kerry has since developed her own, “book of business” and has a very loyal client following. She is currently on Anthem’s Individual Producer Advisory Council. Kerry and her family reside in Cheshire, CT.

Lisa Splain has been with The Benefits Group since 1999, but has worked in the insurance industry since 1987. Lisa is an account manager for many of our key clients. She is particularly gifted in establishing a close working relationship with our client's insurance managers. Lisa and her family reside in Cheshire, CT.

Linda Jamele has worked in the insurance industry since 1984, starting her career at our prior firm. Linda specializes in handling complex medical claims and appeals and also does our individual life and disability insurance underwriting. Linda and her family reside in Cheshire, CT.

Nancy Ramos-McCaughey joined The Benefits Group in 2007 after spending fourteen years at her prior employer. Nancy is a vital part of our team as the administrative assistant and receptionist. In addition to her other responsibilities, she has successfully taken on the function of processing enrollment/change forms in house to eliminate the insurance company waiting time for our clients. Nancy and her family reside in Cheshire, CT.
